The Caipirinha is the national drink of Brazil and everyone has their own recipe and their own version of the story about the origins of this drink. The word “Caipirinha” is a derivative of the Brazilian word “capira” which refers to someone from the countryside, as this was the likely place where the drink was first enjoyed.
